Sharing is Caring...An Offering for Creative, Healing, Change Making, Soul Serving Womxn...

Updated: Sep 17, 2020

If there is anything that the last few months have taught us, it is that in order to thrive, we need each other. A supportive community that not only helps us to understand ourselves intellectually, but also to FEEL understood and cared for by others is a survival necessity. Womxn gathering to overcome adversity and walk each other through tough times is essential to surviving with any semblance of knowing which end is up. As many of us are balancing parenting, working, dreaming, friending, partnering and wait…trying to be ourselves, this need for connection feels ever more vital. Any combination of these -ings that apply to your life may feel daunting during normal modern times, let alone during a global pandemic. What I hope by sharing the below information, is that we, as womxn-identified beings, can experience finding community with like-minded, badass, soulful sisters as not a formidable process, but one that can form naturally and with more ease than we may realize, AND with potentially life altering results.

As some of you know, I have worked with Ashley Burnett, of Ashley Burnett + Co. (formerly Strong Body Love) for the past few years to work through forming my therapy private practice and finding direction in my life when it underwent immense change (i.e. divorce, single parenting, being pretty broke). Not only was her timing impeccable in entering my life but it also reminded me of what a genuine, no holds bar, awesome human Ashley is. In the interest of transparency, we go way back. We danced our hearts out together at the University of Champaign-Urbana, molded our bodies to the world of professional dance and enjoyed some pretty good times as well (shout out to the Murphy’s crowd)! I never thought our paths would cross again in this way. I am so glad they did.

I know what you’re thinking...here comes the cliched workshop pitch. Nope. If you know me, you know I only recommend people whose work and character I believe in wholeheartedly. It is 100% true that, for me, reconnecting and then working with Ashley as my business coach changed my life. Within a year of attending my first program, Unleash Retreat, I had filled my private practice, was supporting myself and my daughter financially and was on the way to discovering new interests and ideas for my future in therapeutic work.

Be on the lookout in the next week or so for info about a FREE workshop on advanced space holding Ashley is offering for those who engage in group work and/or would like to expand themselves into working with groups of people, virtually or in-person. The current iteration of the Unleash Retreat, the program that sparked my work with Ashley, will also begin again soon and is open for as many people as would like to attend. Ah...the blessing of virtual space.

Many blessings to all of you and we will chat again soon. PEACE.
